What women founders think of Trump’s first 100 days

Good morning! GM's Mary Barra said the tariffs could cost billions -billions of companies, the Tesla Board Chair refused to look for a Musk replacement, and the female founders reflected Trump's first 100 days in the office.
– Founder Scorecard. In the first 100 days of his second term in office, President Donald Trump empowered a degree that had not yet occurred to modern American presidents. Number Fate embraced elsewhere, which led to widespread uncertainty among business leaders and consumers alike, increased federal expenditure, and the worst running for the stock market recorded in the first 100 days of a US presidency.

For many women, the president's first 100 days are striving and stabilizing. The female -dedicated newsletter the skimm polled More than 17,000 subscribers and found extensive economic concerns: 95.6% said that the president's tariffs should not remain in the area, and an amazing 93% believe that the US is in, or is about to enter, a backward. For what the value is, many economists and analysts agree that we are going there.

Leslie Feinzaig, who led the VCS for Kamala's efforts during the President's 2024 election, Survey 180 Early stage of the US founder -based female, and found that 47% said Trump's economy was hurting their businesses. Tariffs are, of course, a major factor in why – but there are other factors. The founders, who did not ask their political affiliate in the survey, cited the difficulty of increasing capital, freezing, and collapse of federal budgets that were harmful to their companies. Uncertain and uncertain and regulatory shocks related to health, climate, and fintech also have negative effects.

“The government's all-out war on any kind of program that supports women or minors are deeply felt, with founders who have lost customers and funding, and faced increasing reputation risk,” Feinzaig wrote in the subtack. “And for many of these founders – especially immigrants and LGBTQ – all of which have resulted in fear, stress, and poor mental health.”

Of course, there are other reasons that women have grown in the past 100 days. The President has made a priority to abolish the difference, equity, and integration of initiatives throughout the federal government, which has caused an RIPP effect to the entire private company that does not want to get to his bad side. His administration brought the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Reproductive Health Division and began preventing title X funding from 16 organizations that provide control control, cancer screenings, sti testing and more for low -income households.

And the news reported that Trump was considering the baby's $ 5,000 bonuses to encourage married couples to have more children met, in the best, deep suspicion, at least judging the responses I received from this newsletter's audience when I wrote about the idea last week.

Despite all the uncertainty, specifically related to the economy, Feinzaig said the founders he interviewed would remain optimistic about achieving their goals.

“These founders are not silent about the challenges today. They are pragmatic, clear eyes, and relentlessly focused,” he wrote. “They refused to give up.”
