Ukraine said that the 120,000 “unusable” mortar shells sent to the forefront

The Ukrainian Internal Security Bureau said on Tuesday that he had four people to investigate 120,000 defective mortars on his troops.
The Ukrainian Security Service, also known as the SBU, wrote on his Telegram channel that the arrested people included a military officer, a quality control official and two leaders of defense companies.
The announcement will arrive six months after the Ukrainian media announced the complaints of some of the front units that the shells of their 120mm mortar would not be shot or exploded.
In a video made in November, one soldier said only about one of ten rounds out of its launcher and effectively detonates. At that time, Ukrainian journalists announced that up to 100,000 shells would be recalled.
SBU announced that he investigated the defense station in the Dnipropetrovski area, where Dnipro's main city lives, and found that four arrested people were a conspiracy of “supplying the bark to the front line”.
“For mass production, the suspect used the non -standard materials and did a faulty processing, causing the main charge to failure the primer and causing unstable performance of the entire missile fuel,” SBU said in a statement.
The security service did not mention the arrested persons, but accused all four conspiracy “reducing production costs to increase their profits”.
SBU said that military and quality control officials “ignored” defective ammunition and fake documents to hide the scheme.
“Consequently, 120,000 unusable lasts came in the front row,” he added. If they are convicted, four detainees face up to 15 years of prison, SBU said.
The artillery ammunition has been a key to Ukraine's defense, as the war has stretched into an extended friction battle. One of Kyivi's most urgent problems is the tension of the war on the number of soldiers he can get out at once, and he faces a dilemma of whether to lower his draft requirements to cover 18 -year -olds.
But Ukraine also tries to avoid ammunition deficiency that Europe and the US have worked in Overdrive. In the middle of the speed, Kyiv has tried to promote his local defense scene, which already crankers millions of first -person views.
