  • Trump said Tiktok is “protected” And he will continue to extend the deadline to prevent the application from prohibiting. Trump said Nbc “I have a little sweet place in my heart.” There are legal questions about whether Trump has the authority to extend the ban.

Tiktok will be banned on June 19th, but President Donald Trump states that he does not plan to enforce the ban and extends the deadline as long as the agreement takes.

Trump has already given Tiktok twice. This ban was originally in January. Now Trump says that the application is “protected”.

Trump hopes to monitor a transaction that would turn social media operations into a US company instead of moving forward in China. China, however, has said that it does not approve of any transactions, most recently due to tariffs on its state, but the government had long been durable before they reached the game.

Critics of the application claim that Tiktok opens US users by China to monitor and is concerned about the mental health of the application. Bytenessance and Trump have lowered the risk of an application used by 170 million Americans.

Tiktok's prohibition language gave Trump power to extend the deadline by 90 days after “significant progress” has taken place. There is no language about additional extensions.

Trump has no technically power to stop the ban. This would require a congress act. The ban was spent with a wide bilateral support in April 2024.
