Trump Says Bezos Removed Tariff Info From Amazon Listings After Call

President Donald Trump said he had called the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, who immediately agreed not to display the price costs next to the prices of the products after their maintenance.
In a interview With NBC News's Meet The Press, broadcast on Sunday, the host Kristen Welker questioned the president on his call with Bezos.
It was shortly after Media Outlet Punchbowl News said on Tuesday report That Amazon would soon start to display price fees next to the price of the product, an assertion that Amazon denied.
“It's just a very nice guy, we have a relationship. I asked him questions about it,” Trump told Welker. “He said:” Well, I don't want to do this “and he removed it immediately.”
Welker asked if Trump “would take this same tactic with other CEOs”.
“I will always call people if I do not agree with them,” replied Trump.
Welker also asked Trump if he punished CEOs who have adopted consumers' tariff costs.
He said, “I want them to build plants in the United States. In this way, they have no prices.”
The White House criticized the retailer on Tuesday reported to display price costs. During a press conference, the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavittcalled him a “hostile political act”.
During the first 100 days of Trump's second term, some of the wealthiest people in the United States made massive successes at their net value.
Bezos' net value has plunged more than $ 30 billion since January. On January 20, it was $ 245 billion, but May 5, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, it fell to $ 212 billion.
This occurs while the electronic commerce giant is in shock from the impact of prices.
Trump imposed a reference rate at 10% on imports from all countries except China. Its rate rate for China is now 145%.
Amazon said on Thursday that he had taken $ 1 billion in occasional charges in his last quarter, linked to customer prices and yields.
Since Trump's prices have entered into force, there have also been price increases on some of his most popular articles, including household appliances, snacks and clothing.
Despite the criticism of his pricing policies, Trump held quickly. In a social article of Truth over Easter, the president said that businessmen who criticized his prices are bad in business and politics.
“They do not understand or do not realize that I am the greatest friend that American capitalism has ever had!” Trump wrote.
Trump representatives did not respond to a request for comments from Business Insider.
