Trump keeps lying about everything every day – Could there be any real consequences for that?

President Donald Trump sat with NBC News and said more lies in an hour than most people say it in a life.
The interview was broadcast only a few days after her first 100 days at the White House, and Kristen Welker asked him about each major subject – crypto, prices, gas prices, medicaid and border.
In return, Trump responded with false claims, invented numbers and pure and simple BS. The interview took place on “Meet the Press”, where Welker pressed Trump to find out if he uses the presidency for personal purposes, if the economy really improves and he understands the Constitution.
According to For NBC himself, the conversation revealed how far Trump is willing to rewrite reality – to the camera, to the office and without a second thought. He must be so admirable for sociopaths everywhere.
Trump misleads prices, profits and false victories
In case of inflation, Trump said: “I was able to lower costs … oil is down, petrol is down, grocery store is down, eggs.” He then added: “Even mortgage rates drop.” It's a lie.
He also said: “Have you seen the essence is now below, in many cases, in many states, below $ 2 per gallon?” It is also false. The cheapest state average is $ 2.66 and the national average is $ 3.18, according to AAA.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation was cooled 2.4% in March, from 2.8% the previous month. But this trend started under Biden.
A separate reading that excludes food and energy has shown an annual increase of 2.8% – always the lowest since March 2021. But the races are no less expensive, the eggs are always high and retail prices have not changed in the way Trump said.
Meanwhile, the fixed rate mortgage of 30 years is 6.76%, the same thing at the end of last year. There was no dramatic drop. He also said that car manufacturers “would make a fortune” from prices. General Motors does not agree. CEO Mary Barra said in a letter to investors that new prices could eliminate $ 5 billion in profits. Other car manufacturers are still not sure. Some have praised the structure of the prices, but all say that prices should increase this summer.
When Welker asked if he took advantage of the presidency, Trump said: “I don't take advantage of anything.” She asked again, specifically on her crypto $ Trump token, which allowed her and her team nearly $ 900,000 in just two days.
“I didn't even watch,” he replied. He added: “If I have actions in something, and do a good job and the stock market goes up, I suppose I take advantage.” About 80% of the token supply belongs to Trump and his allies. The token increased by more than 50% after a website announcement offered a dinner with Trump to the 220 best holders.
Ethics experts said that the whole configuration had violated government standards, but there is not yet a law that makes this illegal. Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff want the US Office for Ethics of the Government. The Republican Allies began to be discomfort. This is not the first time that the Trump family has been accused of having collected during their mandate.
Trump also made a big complaint on new investments: “We have … nearly 9 dollars.” There is no data to save this. The White House says that around 5 billions of dollars is the real number. This includes the promises of Apple, Nvidia, Oracle and Softbank. But most of these announcements have been recycled from older offers or in the early stages. They are not locked up.
On trade, Trump said the United States had lost “$ 5 to 6 billion per day” under Biden's trade deficit. This is another made up. The real trade deficit of 2024 was around $ 918 billion. If you divide this throughout the year, it amounts to around 2.5 billion dollars per day – not six. In addition, experts have clearly indicated: a trade deficit does not mean that the country “loses money”. This is not how international trade works, but Trump continues to repeat it anyway.
Trump Topble Medicaid cuts and ment on investments
On Medicaid, Welker asked if Trump would oppose his veto to a tax invoice which included discounts. “Well, we don't do that,” he said. Then he added: “I would do it if they cut it, but they don't cut it.” He insisted on the fact that there would be no focusing, Medicaid or Social Security cuts.
But the republicans of the house are divided. Some want to reduce the percentage of federal medical assistance, which would increase costs on states. The bill is not yet public, it is therefore not clear where the GOP will land.
Trump said his government ministry had saved $ 160 billion by reducing fraud, but that no one can check the number. Even Elon Musk admitted that Doge had made mistakes. And a non -profit report indicated that DOGE actions – figures, re -stripping and waste of time – it would have cost $ 135 billion this year. This would cancel savings.
At the end of the interview, Welker spoke of the 2020 elections. Trump said: “The election was faked – the facts are in place, and it is still in the process of being complained.” It's a lie. He brought more than 60 prosecution and lost them all.
The courts across the country have rejected its affirmations and he did not provide evidence exactly to support them, while his opposition presented many, most of them obtained from his own supporters. It could be a nightmare, but the reality is: the leader of the free world is a pathological liar.
