Sam Altman’s World Launches in US With Eye Scans, Crypto Rewards, and a Tinder Pilot

Sam Altman's crypto associated with the Human Identity Project, known as the World, starts us Expansion with new features that include both payment capabilities and digital identification.

Consistently, the World is working with the match group, the parent company behind popular dating platforms such as Tinder, Hinge, and Match.com. The collaboration will start with a pilot program at Tinder in Japan, where users can prove that people who are in contact with them are real individuals.

According to the company, the goal is to increase authenticity with digital relationships, especially in spaces where fake profiles are common.

The expansion of a new feature that relates to users to the Malashi prediction market directly from within the world app through a newly added MINI APP. This allows users to participate in forecasting events based on the verification human identity.

Expanding technology and scale plans are conducted

The company also continues to explore hardware -based validation methods. Since its global debut in 2023, the world relies on specialized biometric devices called orbs to confirm a user's humanity through iris scans.

The firm maintains that it does not store users' biometric data but only uses information to confirm the personality. Plans are conducted to introduce a smaller device, the “mini-orb,” which will enable faster onboarding and scalability as the company pursues a 1 billion user base.

To support the growth in new sectors, the world also cooperates with the Gaming Brand Razer to introduce human verification tools to Razer's physical stores. These services aim to allow players to prove if they are playing against human opponents online.

With over 26 million World App users and approximately 12 million confirmed as “unique people,” the project continues to expand its utility to digital identity, payment, and web3 user verification.

The World's US Rollout marks a significant milestone in the global push to redefine how online platforms are different between people and AI -driven agents.
