New Hampshire’s Bitcoin Reserve Bill Becomes Law

The first level of the State of the Bitcoin Reserve Bill in the US was fully approved, as New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte signed it in law today. This makes New Hampshire the first state to get such a plan throughout the end line.
Although Florida and Arizona have seen recent raids, a success in New Hampshire has been a big deal.
New Hampshire is conducting a Bitcoin reserve law
Earlier today, Bitcoin state level initiatives in the US were looking terrible. Two of the secondary bills were killed on the Florida committee less than one week after the Governor of Arizona had presented another.
However, New Hampshire has opened this trend, creating the US first strategic Bitcoin Reserve/
This Reserve Bill puts the New Hampshire to the country leader in some way. In addition to allowing the state to buy and hold Bitcoin, there is another interesting aspect.
Specifically, the law is not exclusively in accordance with Bitcoin. This allows the state to buy any cryptoasset with a market cap of over $ 500 billion. Now, that's just BTC, but others can join.
This means that if the Ethereum and XRP reach this threshold in the future, the state may buy these altcoins as a part of its reserve.
New Hampshire's successful efforts are to encourage other Bitcoin Reserve bills and provide important data on how this system works in training. Other state governments may be aware of New Hampshire's successes and failures that better refine their own legal initiative.
Meanwhile, Trump's National Bitcoin Reserve Plan is not yet clear. The initial executive order issued a 60-day deadline for Treasury to assess plans for a digital asset reserve. That deadline ended yesterday, but no concrete update has been issued.
So far, the governor has not specified the BTC value the state will buy. However, according to the bill, the New Hampshire could provide a maximum of 5% of the state's total funding funding for the purchase of Bitcoin.
For 2026-2027, the total state fund was $ 16 billion in spending. So, it would be interesting to see how much to allocate for BTC.
