Speaking in the hallway outside of Markel's shareholder meeting, Martin Wiegand, 67, said he attended more than 30 Berkshire meetings and owned stock for nearly 40 years.
Wiegand said his father was a friend at the Buffett school, and his parents attended Berkshire meetings.
He told me that he wanted Buffett to continue talking after his deputy, Greg Abel, would take CEO in the New Year.
“I hope he doesn't drop the mic and walk on stage, never hear it again,” Wiegand said. “I hope he is teaching a coursera course – some kind of a podcast will be overwhelmed,” he continued, adding that he wanted Buffett to continue to make the media shows.
“The authority of the Moral Warren Buffett of Finance in America,” he said. “And I think he confirmed yesterday he was still the sharp person in the room in 94.”
