Ethereum (ETH) today withdrew a massive network innovation called Pectra, the most ambitious update of the blockchain, from the notorious merger already in 2022, which marked the transition from the work evidence (POW).

The upgrade will come a few days after a large number of founder Vitalik Buterin, who suggested that the ethereum's virtual machine should be replaced with RISC-V architecture.
Pectra's main advantages are explained
This is not another gradual pinch for the network. Pectra was difficult, packed with each other with a proposal to improve ethereum (EIB), most of which have ever been completed for one update. In addition, the community coordinated the update in all major customer software such as Grandine, Prysm, Teku and Fulfillment Clients, including Go-Etherum and Nethermint.
At the heart of Pectra is the EIP-7702, which is undoubtedly the largest shift seen in Wallet Tech: this makes the usual externally owned accounts (EOAs) so-called smart wallets, allowing users to collect multiple transactions into one and significantly reducing gas costs.
In addition, wallets can now handle gas -free transactions and even allow gas fees, using other characters than ETH, significantly increasing the practical use of cryptos. This is nothing new. Solana rolled a smart wallet prototype almost a year ago via Squads Labs.
In addition, there is now a function for customized recovery mechanisms, which may write the end of the infamous “lost cryptocurrency” problem. In a nutshell, the usability of Ethereum became much less disappointing for everyday users.
How did it all start
Pectra Upgrade is based on an earlier Dencun update since March 2024, which laid the original foundations through the EIB-4844 with the Proto-Dankshard.
Today's upgrade deals with important performance bottlenecks, improves the overall usability of the network, and strategically positions for future versions of the chip circuit, such as Fusaka, who assumes that he introduces innovative technologies such as peeing.

- The EIB-7702 introduces smart wallet functions to ordinary wallets, allowing for the assembly of transactions, the sponsorship of third-party gas, and social recovery-magnitude-magnitude efficiency and user security.
