Hackers Create Fake Corporate Entities in the US To Fool Crypto Developers and Spread Malware: Report

North Korea hackers have been reported conducting a wide US campaign by creating sham corporate entities.
Lazarus, the well-known state sponsored by the North Korea Syndicate responsible for some of the largest history hacking operations, managed to set up corporations in New Mexico and New York states, Reuters Report.
Researchers in the cybersecurity firm that quiet PUSH have said companies, called blocknovas LLC and softglide LLC, are set up using fake personas and addresses.
The purpose of the companies is to announce fake jobs for crypto developers in an effort to infect the pursuit of job applicants with malware once they respond.
Kasey Best, Director of Threat Intelligence on Silent Push, says,
“This is a rare example of North Korea hackers who actually manage to set up the US corporate legal entities to create corporate facade
These attacks use fake personas that offer job interviews, which led to sophisticated malware expansion to compromise cryptocurrency wallets of developers, and they also target developers' passwords and credentials that can be used to further attack legitimate businesses. “
The FBI has not officially commented on the developments, but an official in Reuters said North Korea's cyber operations were “perhaps one of the most advanted threats” the US faces.
So far, the FBI has acquired the domain of blocknovas.
The Bureau warning Reading,
“This domain was obtained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in accordance with a seizure warrant issued by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas as part of a law enforcement against North Korean cyber actors who use this domain to deceive individuals with fake work and distribution of malware.
