Google Wallet introduces zero-knowledge proofs for private age verification

Google has added zero knowledge to their portfolio for age verification. Its new cryptographic system allowed users to prove that they were old enough to use limited applications without giving more information than necessary. The new system has been introduced to the United Kingdom and in some American states.
Google announcement They would support the verification of age preserving confidentiality via evidence of zero knowledge (ZKPS) – to help users prove that they were over 18 without revealing something personal such as name, date of birth, etc. The identification pass went to the United Kingdom, and the mobile identifiers extended to more American states.
The technological company has also suggested to extend its portfolio to 50 other countries, allowing users to display and use digital passes in the application and on the website. The update aimed to bring the safety and convenience of this type of wallet in countries where TAP-to-pay was not yet available.
Google improves its portfolio to include age -based age verification
🚨 Google Wallet recently integrated ZKPS for private age verification.
Many of the use cases that have been written for years (self-souveraine identity, private digital references) are finally deployed to consumers.

Google has announced the integration of zero knowledge proof technology (ZKP) for its portfolio. He introduced an age verification process that has provided no way to connect the age of users to their identity when verification was necessary in Google products or partner applications.
The technological company has also said that its portfolio extended its digital identity and age verification capacities in additional American states and the United Kingdom, after the growing dynamic of the mobile identity adoption which has seen user numbers that should reach 143 million by 2030.
The digital portfolio service adds support to the identifiers issued by the government in Arkansas, Montana, Puerto Rico and Virginia-Western. The expansion is based on existing features already available for residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland and New Mexico, which can currently use digital identifiers stored in Google Wallet in DMV locations.
British residents will soon be able to create digital identification passes with their British passports and store them safely and conveniently in Google Wallet. The rail delivery group will allow train travelers to use their digital identifier to check if they meet the eligibility criteria to select rail cards on its retail platform for railway cards. Google stressed that this implementation enabled it to provide rapid verification of age on various mobile devices, applications and websites that use its digital identification API.
Google says Bumble is among the first applications to implement the new system
The technological company has revealed that the Bumble dating application, among others, will be one of the first partners to use this cryptographic system. Bumble will use digital IDs issued via Google Wallet for user verification, while ZKPS will manage age confirmation.
The new verification feature will force Bumble users to authenticate their identity using their Google Wallet identification pass and the IDs issued by the government recorded on their Google portfolio, allowing users to sort the profiles according to those who are verified by ID and also ask their matches to complete the verification process if necessary.
The dating platform had previously had a verification tool that allowed users to take selfies to confirm their identity, but that passed it to the next level. Bumble has doubled on safety tools in March and decided to include a feature that checked user IDs to improve confidence and stimulate user growth.
In addition to the identification verification, the company has published more features, including a functionality that signals inappropriate messages in the cat before users rely on Send and the possibility of sharing data details with friends. Bumble also launched a dedicated “Discover” page to help users find correspondence with similar interests.
