Everything you wanted to know about the Web3 developer but hesitated ⋅ asking for a crypto world

The following is the guest post Hlib Rabchuk,Mrs. at the address Ethereum in UkraineTo.

On the web It develops at breakage speed – new protocols are emerging, developers' trends are shifting, and demand skills today may grow old tomorrow. For people navigating in the industry, moving forward is not just about technical knowledge; This is about understanding where the room is heading.

Juri kovalchukForte Group Web3 Engineer and Blockchain Development Lecturer at Set Universityhas witnessed these shifts. For over nine years, which includes Java's back to the leading teams of Web3 start -ups, he brings a unique perspective on how industry has changed and where it goes next.

From the rust and AI-integrated Web3 solutions to the rise of the peat to the blind, which are still bothering the developers-this interview is packed today by the Web3 construction reality. Whether you are a developer, an investor or just a curious mind who wants to make sense of space, Juri's knowledge offers a rare look at the challenges and opportunities that shape the future of the chip chain.

Web3 Labor Market: How has the industry changed over the last 5 years?

– How different is web3 demand today compared to 5 years ago? What subjects should the average student developer pay attention to work?

Juri: Five years is a whole era for Web3. This period is too durable to evaluate changes as the market is developing in fast cycles.

For example, 5 years ago we didn't even know what Defi was. Now this is one of the main components of web3. But when we talk about the current trends in the labor market, this is the main points I see:

  • High demand for rust developers. Solana's popularity has increased, and so is the demand for professionals who can write Ruste effectively.
  • Web3 engineers who have an understanding of AI. AI agents-space develops rapidly and web3 protocols are demanding for integration of AI.
  • Security researchers. A new wave of attacks related to AI is expected, so that auditors and security professionals are becoming even more sought after.
  • Developer relationships. This role, which helps to build a bridge between projects and developers, is becoming increasingly important as Web3 extends beyond the narrow technical community.
  • Aggressive -style marketers. Web3 has a very specific marketing style that requires flexibility and volume. Ordinary methods do not always work.
  • Community leaders. Web3 projects are largely dependent on the community and proper community management is becoming critical.

Solana vs Ethereum: Where is one of the technology?

– What does Solana do that Ethereum has not yet achieved? Are there any changes that could improve this imbalance?

Juri: Indeed, Solana currently has the advantage of throughput and low fees. All thanks to its architecture, which allows it to achieve thousands of transactions per second without the need for additional scaling layers.

Ethereum, on the other hand, builds a decentralized and more reliable infrastructure that makes it safer and more sustainable in the long run. The 2nd layer solutions are actively developed and already allows Ethereum to significantly improve performance.

With the help of future updates, Ethereum can catch up with Solana in terms of transaction speed and expenditure.

However, can Solana achieve the same stability and decentralization as Ethereum is an open question.

There is still one critical security mistake in Web3

– You often refer to the importance of security in your blog. What is one of the common security mistakes that web3 developers still make?

Juri: The biggest mistake that developers and users still make Private keys are not managed properlyTo.

Yes, the dedication of the private key of a joke is still relevant because it is only partially true. People often store seed phrases, private keys and other sensitive information, leaving hardware bags and additional signature controls that cause hacking, data fishing and early theft.

Access management in smart contracts comes second. This is the main reason for the Hacking of the Web3 Protocol, as many developers leave excessive administrative rights or incorrectly implement the Mechanisms of Refreshing Agreement.

As a result, the owners may lose control of the protocol or hackers can escape critical functions.

Web3 continues to develop, but the main security errors are still the cause of the biggest attacks and hacks.

Web3 needs to be changed. But what brand change?

– recentlymentionedThis Web3 needs new positioning. What specific aspects do you think should be changed?

Juri: I don't think “Web3” If the term needs to change the brand – its picture is still quite positive and does not want to.

The need for change is more related to concepts crypto and chipTo.

Crypto is today a very speculative and negative picture due to the fact that a large number of people try to abuse the system and monitor simple money. Blockchain, on the other hand, is perceived as an obsolete and archaic term and sometimes even automatically detected by cryptocurrency, which gives the wrong impression. This can only be improved through education and proper communication.

On my social media pages, I always explain that these three terms – Web3, Blockchain and Crypto – are all completely different.

Thus Chip is the technology, Crypto is one of its uses and On the web There is a whole new internet paradigm with which you have your data and assets.

This approach should help to design the right idea of the Web3 among the mass audience.

Pectra: What is it and why is it important?

– On February 24, Ethereum Pectra Hard Fork should take place. What are the main changes this update will bring and what new opportunities will it be opened to Ethereum's ecosystem and its developers?

Juri: Pectra hard fork is another important step in the development of Ethereum, connecting two main offers: for Prague for filling and Electra for the Consensus layer. It is one of the largest ethereum updates in history (in terms of the number of EIBs). The three main areas deserved to be noted:

  • User experience (EIB-7702) is a new approach to temporarily convert EOA (externally accounts) into smart contracts, which significantly improves UX and closer us closer to the real account abstraction (AA). This opens up options such as a batch of transactions, paying committees with ERC-20 chips and different levels of access to account.
  • Work (EIB-7002, EIB-7251). Validers can withdraw their income and ETH independently, which makes the process more flexible and faster. In addition, the maximum amount of one validator increases from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH. This facilitates the management of large stakers and reduces the number of validators on the network while maintaining its decentralization.
  • EIB-7691 Increases the maximum number of data in block 9 (previously 6) and the target number to 6 (previously 3), which temporarily improves ethereum permeability until perdas is applied. The EIB-7623 increases the cost of calling, encouraging rolling to use blemishes that are a more effective way to save it.

Do developers still create market trends?

– You are currently participating in the uniswap HOOK incubator. Given that developers shape dominant market stories, is it possible to predict market trends for such a community?

Juri: Yes, I am currently completing the Uniswap Foundation and the Atrium Academy -led incubator program. In this we are deeply exploring the possibilities of the uniswap v4 and its basic function – hooks.

This version opens up endless opportunities to customize the AMMM, including dynamic fees, MEV protection, flexible liquidity management mechanisms, which allows you to build not only add-ons on Uniswap, but also for full protocols on it.

Moreover, Uniswap sets the vector not only in defis. For example, projects such as Flaunch, a fair auction for Memecoinide LansseCoins, show that its application goes far beyond the traditional Dex.

I think The next major trend is the deeper modularity of Def protocols and the integration of adapted mechanicsTo. The V4 allows you to create products with your algorithms for pricing, asynchronous exchange and flexible liquidity management, which can significantly change the Defi market in the coming years.

Memecoin automation: a new option or a risk bubble?

– Pump.Fun recent marketing in mobile devices has made it clear that creating Memecoins is easier than ever. The projects of your last two hackaton also simplify this process. Is there a risk that this simplicity of symbolism leads Massive bubble? Isn't Web3 become a fast food industry?

Juri: Indeed, one of our projects simplified the creation of Memecoins using AI agents.

We saw that Memecoins and AI are currently the most dynamic area of Web3, so we decided to combine these trends by studying their synergy and potential impact on the market. The ease of creation certainly causes an increase in the number of signs and not all of them have a good basis or usefulness. But I do not believe that the fight against low quality projects should be artificially difficult to create them.

Web3 is still in improving the user experience and it is our job to make it more accessible to newcomers. Restrictions and barriers are not the answer – it is more important to teach people to distinguish and understand the quality.

It's just like food: instead of banning fast food, we teach children to choose healthy food. Web3 should do the same – not to block, but raise awarenessTo.

MEMECOINS vs confidence in Web3

– Does Memecoins discredit the Web3 industry in the eyes of people who want to become developers and investors? How do the events surrounding the scales, $ Trump, CZ and other similar cases affect technology confidence?

Juri: I do not believe that Memecoins, as a class of chips, discredit the Web3 industry. They may have healthy mechanics and utilities. Think about them as an advertising liver or a project campaign for the project.

If you want to quickly attract audience attention and form a community, Memecoins can effectively play this role. Moreover, the memes are closer to a wide audience – both ordinary users and enthusiasts who want to start their own, even if it is the nature of the fan.

As far as web3 discreditation is generally concerned, this problem does not only apply to Memecoins. Every project whose main purpose is to deceive users is damaging the image of the industry. Whether it is a Memecoin or 1 layer chain, which only existed on paper, raised millions through ICO and disappeared, the principle is the same. Yes, due to the ease of symbolic creation, this tool has indeed become more accessible to fraudsters and rags are now more common. But as in the previous issue, the solution is not in the prohibitions but in education.

Dyor (do your own research) is the basic principle of all web3 participants.
