Every Feature Shown At Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC Sydney Launch, Ranked

An inevitable anti-performing to be in the Australian media is to be done, in fact regularly, to do the pilgrimage to Sydney. Unfortunately, I lost the account of the number of times I have been made to cross the soulless bowels of Sydney Kingsford Smith airport. However, you have to make sacrifices for your job. I guess there are worse spells.

At least this time, it was interesting.

Last Tuesday (June 18), Microsoft launched his Copilot + PCS around the world.

COPILOT + PCS are Microsoft's last step in the AI world, designed to ensure that your computer feels more like a useful acolyte. These new machines are equipped with a neuronal treatment unit (NPU), which is essentially a tiny brain of AA which can perform 40 billions of operations per second.

Microsoft claims that it is the fastest and smartest Windows PCs ever built, capable of tasks that would cause other computers.

And that is why I found myself standing in front of the Microsoft Sydney Experience Center on Pitt Street.

Media events can be quite boring, but the promise of free drinks and sofas is enough to attract scumbag journalists like me. This one, however, seemed different from the start. The invitation promised a lot: It is not only an event; It is your passport in the new world of technology, an area of possibilities – where creativity and productivity do not know any limits.

Okay, I'm interested.

Once inside, the guests have received a boarding pass and a passport and we said that we will travel in five “destinations” designed to present the new features of Microsoft Copilot + PC.

Once we had “recorded”, we were left to travel the two -story shop and dive into the new PCs.

It would not be a technological event without DJ.

Throughout the night, I wondered if this fruit was to eat or decoration. But it's not a fruit blog, well, not yet. Anyway, do we dive into what was exposed, okay?

8. Destination dispatch: AI mail assistance

I started playing with a laptop on a bench, not knowing that I reluctantly came across the first destination. This judgment aimed to live the power of Copilot in Word. The premise was simple – write a postcard poem from a vacation destination of your choice. I was tempted to write a screed in North Korea but I didn't want to go on black lists.

Of course, Copilot is not only a word – it will be there to help you do anything on the new range of PCs.

7 Copilot + PCS: Welcome to the New World of Technology

This one who excited me because he was in his own little room, kept by a man who took your boarding pass and said things like “it will be about 10 minutes of waiting” – intriguing. What could be in there? What is worth waiting for 10 minutes? The fact that he was presented as a personalized experience made her even more attractive.

Upon entering a dark room, I was greeted by a giant co -pilot + PC and I asked to stand on the keys, to walk, to do a little dance – everything I satisfied.

Then started the personalized aspect.

And by that, I mean that he knew my name, and it is about as personalized as possible. I stood there watching a brief presentation, then it was over. A little disappointing, but I can now say that I danced on a giant keyboard.

6. These game chairs

Okay, it was not a COPILOT + PC function, but oh my word. So comfortable. One day, when I made myself tall, I will have a large mahogany dining table which can accommodate 16 years and it will be round and heavy and powerful. And all around, it will be these chairs. Ultimate Gamer Comfort.

5. Copilot Explorer: travel on the web

The following stop was another turn on a co -pilot + PC (regular size) to try the co -pilot power when used on the web. The task was to plan a vacation, so I typed a simple invite explaining that I wanted to see as many volcanoes as possible in Japan. In a few seconds, he generated an entire route. We entered the really personalized trips.

And of course, a lot of LLM can do it, but what distinguishes Copilot +is its integration directly into the system rather than counting on cloud -based operations. This local treatment guarantees faster, more private and potentially more personalized interactions.

4. Mastermind of memory

It was the only destination on the ground floor and it was the recall function of the Copilot + PC. The way it was done was really fun. Nestled in a corner next to the DJ stand was a member of the staff who informed me that Microsoft had marked six random items throughout the building with a Copilot logo. I was asked if I remember seeing. Even if I had almost certainly seen at least one throughout the night, my brain had not recorded it. Or them. What was normal – if we held everything we perceive, we would have an instant nervous breakdown. At least I would.

This exercise was a fairly intelligent demo of the power of the Copilot recall function, which is essentially an opt-in program that Take a screenshot of your device every five seconds And stores it locally, therefore (theoretically) only you have access to it.

In real use, a reminder allows users to easily find and remember the information they have already seen on their PC. It works by indexing and understanding the content with which you interact, which makes it available via natural language requests.

For example, if you vaguely remember seeing an interesting article on an elephant that can be held on a leg, but you don't remember where or when you have seen it, you can ask Copilot to find it, and it will analyze your new months of previous activity.

This feature aims to combat the modern problem of overloading information by helping users recovering things that could otherwise be lost in the vast sea of data that we encounter daily.

Of course, it is not without sound, will we say, controversy – As we predict something that takes screenshots from your device every five seconds. At present, Microsft recalled its recall functiondelaying deployment for the moment.

3. Pork chest

The astitude among you will probably suspect the pork belly is not one of the new features of Microsoft Copilot + PC. But oh my God, I hope that it is. I hope that each time you start one of the new PCs, a magic entity would appear and serve you a nice little plate of This specific Pork chest.

Media events generally have snacks and canals and outdoors and what you have, but it was different. I tasted and I needed more. I returned for a few seconds, then the third parties and the only thing that prevented me from attacking the whole plate was the social stigma that would come from my peers when I saw my students dilating in black black while I was going down in a large frenzy of food in the shape of a white shark.

Microsoft, give this chef an increase.

2. Cocreator – give life to your ideas

This part was really cool. Using Cocreath in painting, we were told to use a combination of basic prompts and digital ink lines to create a work of art. The capacity of art did not matter here – stick personalities acted as a guide, and the boxer did the rest.

I am a simple man. I like monkeys, I like goats and I like football. As you can see, it was already a masterpiece on the left, but Cocreator added beautiful final touches.

Then, this kind guy gave life to this creation on what has now become my favorite tote bag.

1. The special gift

Throughout the night, there were clues of a special gift for all those who visited and had their passport buffer to the five destinations. Could it be? Could we all go away with a brand new co-pilot + PC? Surely not. And yet anticipation has increased. All night, I was wondering what could be so special in this gift. And then the time has happened.

A huge ass umbrella.

Don't get me wrong, I like the umbrellas as much as the next guy. I would consider myself a fan of umbrella. I appreciate what they did for society. But I had trouble understanding what the umbrellas had to do with all of this. Was I stupid? Was there a hidden and deeper meaning that I did not get?

Maybe I thought, it is because it was all on the theme of travel. But then, wouldn't the umbrella be small and compact? This thing was massive. I was wondering if they let me bring back on the plane to Melbourne.

But as I walked in the streets of Sydney with my giant umbrella, I came to appreciate it more. I had never held an umbrella which was so large and yet so smooth – it instantly opened with the press on a button. He closed with the agility and ease of an umbrella half of his size. It was strong and robust, but elegant and beautiful.

In the end, I was taken when I crossed the safety of Sydney airport on the way back to Melbourne, but our separation was temporary. After a few explosive tests, it was given clear.

When I returned to Melbourne, I asked Copilot what the umbrella could mean.

Deep.
