Crypto skeptic to release SBF, Mashinsky interviews in documentary

Ben McKenzie, an actor known for his roles in television shows including Gotham and The OCHis debut directory will make a scathing documentary about cryptocurrency.
According to a Deadline of April 29 ReportMcKenzie wrote, directed, and made documentary Everyone lies with you moneyset to premiere at SXSW London in June. The film is featuring footage from 2022 by former FTX CEO Sam “SBF” bankman-fried and former Celius CEO Alex Mashinsky before their companies are folded.
“Why is the wrong crypto story still spreading?” said McKenzie, according to the deadline. “That's the question I set to answer in this movie.”
Working with New Republic staff writer Jacob Silverman, McKenzie has pivoted from a paper in Hollywood to speaking against many of the issues surrounding the cryptocurrency in 2021. After the fall of the FTX in November 2022, the actor testified at a Senate hearing in the US Senate hearing.
In addition to interviews with SBF and Mashinsky, the documentary will report to explore El Salvador's connections Nayib Buklele in Crypto. Buklele has risen to the industry's popularity after El Salvador proposed that El Salvador recognizes Bitcoin (BTC) as a legal soft in 2021.

It is unclear what, if any, can be revealed in the Bankman-Fried and Mashinsky interview. Cointelegraph handed McKenzie to comment but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
Bankman-fry in prison, Mashinsky may follow
The former CEO of FTX has become the subject of other documentaries, interviews, and a book Michael Lewis. Bankman-fried was found guilty of seven Felony charges in connection with his role in the fall of the FTX and was punished 25 years in prison in 2024.
Mashinsky, who sought a crime in two Felony charges as part of the US prosecutor's dealings in December 2024, was scheduled to be punished on May 8. Authorities demanded that a judge impose a 20-year sentence to the former CEO of Celsius.
