The Chainlink announced the launch of the Chainlink Rewards, a new crypto program to reward community participation and activity throughout its ecosystem. The initiative was launched in collaboration with Space and Time (SXT).
The program will allow chainlink projects to create folk tokens that will be claimed by eligible chainlink participants, including staker links.
Chainlink Rewards and SXT AirDrop details
Space and time are the first developing project to participate. The project will allocate 4% of the total SXT token supply – up to 200 million SXT – for distribution through the program.
The initial batch of 100 million SXT is available for claims on May 8, 2025. Both current and historical link stakers are eligible for the claim of this airdrop.
Also, the claim period for this first distribution, known as Season Genesis, will last 90 days. The remaining tokens and any unspeakable supply can be released in future rewards periods.
Chainlink's rewards extend the scope of the build program. It is a bridge to community participants with developing projects looking to grow in adoption.
The AirDrop program supports active users and node operators contributing to the security and operation of the chainlink network.
Space and time joined the Build program in September 2022. This is since the decentralized solution of the database grew, using zero-knowledge proof to deliver data analytics to wise contracts.
The project included chainlink functions in 2024 to support the delivery of proven queries to ZK.
Meanwhile, Chainlink has confirmed that future rewards events may include other developing projects that offer token rewards to the participants of the ecosystem. The time of Genesis of the season opens on May 8, 2025.
