Bhutan embraces crypto payments to stimulate tourism and empower local suppliers
Several local merchants across Bhutan have already adopted the system, allowing visitors to enjoy an experience without species and without a card. This includes payments for plane tickets, tourist visas, sustainable development costs (homeless), hotel reservations, entrance fees to the monument, local craft and even fresh sellers on the roadside.
Transactions are facilitated via a QR code. Travelers carrying a binance can scan a code to instantly pay for essentials with careful cryptocurrencies.
The system supports more than 100 cryptocurrencies and is designed to be Fast and Secure, with real -time transaction confirmations, two factors authentication (2FA) and end -to -end encryption. With zero gas fees, it also offers a more profitable alternative to traditional credit cards and bank transfers.
Damcho Rinzin, the director of the tourism department in Bhutan, said that the system was more than a simple payment solution – it was a clear declaration of the country's intention to promote innovation, inclusion and efficiency while advancing the government's vision of a digital company. He added that it also allowed small sellers of distant villages to benefit from the tourism economy.
Bhutan incorporates digital assets into strategic reserves
The objective is to promote the stability of payment systems and to support the growth and innovation of a properly operating digital asset environment.

By creating crypto reserves, Bhutan wishes to attract investment, improve the stability of the financial system and provide a plan on how small countries can adapt to a new global economy.
Laws and rules are established to govern the use and custody of these digital assets. This means that Bhutan among First Nations in the world to formally embrace crypto in its economic plans.
