New SEC Chair to Deliver First Public Address on Crypto

  • Paul Atkins will perform his first public address after holding a new position on April 25 at the Crypto Custody Roundtable of Sec.

Paul Atkins, the new chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, is expected to show his presence in the SEC's Crypto Custody Roundtable on April 25, 2025. After holding the new position, this will be the Atkins' first public address dedicated to digital assets.

The crypto market is excited to watch his comments on digital properties, such as this coup, everyone is looking for released regulations and a more crypto-friendly environment.

The meeting was scheduled on April 25 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm as per eastern time (et). It is a speculation that Atkins will give his opening comments with Richard Gabbert, the senior advisor to the acting chairman, head of staff, Crypto Task Force, and others Sec Commissioners.

The event was named “Know Your Custodian: The major considerations for the Crypto Care, and the event panel is Moderated by Zach Zweihorn, Davis Polk and Wardwell.

The event covers the two panels, the first one is named “caution by broker-dealers and beyond,” and another is titled “Investment Adviser and Investment Company Custody.”

Two more sessions to come

The session was primarily focused on the Crypto's Crypto, and many participants spoke about this matter before. Industry members also raised their concerns that the current SEC policies are not satisfactory -to show the facts of operating digital asset markets.

Justin Browder, a partner in Simpson Thach, has already mentioned in the current scenario, few have qualified Custodians Who can provide solutions for crypto-assets.

This session was a continuation of the final cypto trading on April 11. Two additional sessions were held on May 12 in tokenization and another on June 6 in decentralized finances.
