New York’s Most Expensive Penthouse Just Posted Its Record-Breaking Price Tag

  • New York continues to break records with its luxury real estate market.
  • A superb penthouse at the top of the Steinway Tower takes exclusivity to new heights.
  • Registered at USD $ 110 million (~ 185 million dollars AUD), it could become the most expensive house in the city.

If there is one thing that New York never lacks, it is ambition. Whether it is to build high height towers on incredibly thin plots of land or to slap breathtaking price labels on pieces of real estate, the Big Apple has a talent to push the limits – and the bank accounts. From now on, the last milestone is a penthouse of $ 110 million USD (~ 185 million dollars AUD) which should claim the title of the most expensive house in the city.

This new 80 penthouse is located at the top of the Steinway tower (also known as 111 West 57th Street) and is not your typical luxury apartment. It looks more like a vertical palace in the clouds that covers four floors and almost 11,480 square feet, making it a building that already rewrites architectural rules.

Steinway Tower and its architectural wonder

Standing at 1,428 feet high and with a ridiculous height / width ratio of 24: 1, Steinway Tower holds the title of the thinnest skyscraper in the world. It was designed by store architects with SFIELD studio interiors and combines clear and modern lines with head sees with the gilded age of New York. The exterior is a mixture of bronze and glass that sparkles as if it was trying to surpass the horizon line itself.

Imagine now the cap with Penthouse 80, which is a four -story residence covering the floors from 80 to 83. It is delivered with a 360 -degree view of Central Park and the Horizon of Manhattan, two massive terraces and an extraordinarily luxurious interior.

We talk about five bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), six complete bathrooms and a crown suite at the upper level with a private bar, a screening room, a service kitchen and another terrace for the accommodation of unforgettable gatherings. The level of luxury in the finishes, from the bathrooms in exquisite onyx to complex details in each corner, makes this property a unique living space.

Of course, if you drop new numbers on a penthouse, you are not only there for marble and view. You want advantages. And Steinway Tower does not disappoint. Residents have access to a 82 -foot swimming pool, a deceived technogym fitness center, a golf simulator and the only interior padel courtyard in Manhattan. There is even a private restaurant – the bilboquet – with a free breakfast that makes the term “continental” unpleasantly disappointing.

The building itself experienced a rocky start – sales of heavy, price corrections, the usual hiccups of the luxury market – but listing Penthouse 80 to 110 million dollars is a clear signal that Steinway Tower is back to swing for fences and aims to attract the richest customer in New York.

The combination of the location, design, altitude, and exclusivity of the penthouse makes it the type of property that is worth each dizzying dollar for the right buyer and if he sells to ask, it will not only be a victory for Steinway Tower – he will rewrite record books for NYC Real Estate.
