“Crypto’s First Live Trading Cup Is Just the Beginning”: Interview with the President of the WhiteBIT Group

During the Trading Crypto International 2025 trading (ICTC), the very first trading competition in live crypto, our staff spoke with the CEO of Whitebit, Volodymyr Nosov, and their CMO, Alex Kozenko, to have an overview of the event, its origins, its objective and the value it is trying to provide to the Crypto community. That's what they told us.
Shift of paradigm: crypto trading as the ultimate e-sport?
Interviewer: Thank you very much for taking the time to talk to us. We are delighted to find out more about Whitebit. To start, could you tell us a bit about the first days of the platform? How much has he has grown since then, and where do you see him towards the next year?
Volodymyr Nosov: THANKS. First, it is important to note that Whitebit is only one of the many products in the larger Whitebit group. Our group specializes in the development of blockchain and today we manage more than 12 active projects. We now have a team of more than 1,300 people, including more than 240 internal developers.
All our products are built entirely internally. It is essential for us. Many players in this industry rely on outsourced development solutions or white label, which often leads to technical vulnerabilities. You hear constantly talking about hacks and data leaks – and that's often why. On the other hand, during our seven years of operation, we have never had a hack or data violation. This is something that I am really proud of.
And it's not just a crypto issue. Yes, cryptographic space has many exchanges and businesses, but the truth is that around 98% of them are essentially only marketing shells, often managed by a person with a frontal infrastructure and without infrastructure. At Whitebit, our main objective has always been on development. This is why we continue to grow year after year.
Regarding the scholarship itself, last year, Whitebit facilitated more than $ 2.7 billion in negotiation volume in 2024, without a single technical problem. This tells you something about the resilience of the platform.
Interviewer: Can you talk more about Whitebit's wider strategy and future vision?
Volodymyr Nosov: Our vision is to fill traditional finance and crypto. We develop features that reproduce the functionality of conventional but redesigned financial systems for blockchain. The idea is that you will be able to do everything you need – from trading to the management of your finances – in an integrated application.
We also invest massively in infrastructure that supports institutional customers and professional traders. Beyond the crypto, our team has built solutions based on blockchain for traditional industries – bench, telecommunications and even Esports. These products live “under the hood” of web2 companies, giving them transparent access to web3 functionality.
Here is the reality: large web2 companies do not disappear, but they do not have the developers and the experience to correctly integrate the blockchain. One day, they will realize that they need cryptocurrency infrastructure. When this moment arrives, we will be ready. We have spent the last four years building easy -to -integrate systems into their existing batteries.
Interviewer: Do you already see institutions adopting these solutions?
Volodymyr Nosov: Yes, this already happens – unfortunately but regularly. At present, they are hundreds of companies. In a year, it will be thousands. In three years, it will be millions. The wave is there.
Interviewer: Let's talk about today's event. What inspired Whitebit to organize commercial competition?
Volodymyr Nosov: Good question. This is not our first event – we have teamed up with football clubs, Esports organizations and other industry leaders. But we noticed that no one had ever organized something really significant just for cryptographic traders.
Throughout the history of 14 to 15 years of crypto, no one did this. So we decided to create something special for our community – something that celebrates traders as professionals. This tournament is our first major step and we plan to host it every year. It is a learning experience, and we collect comments, so the next one will be even greater and better.

Interviewer: I also noticed that there was a strong educational component. Would you say that this event aims to help people become better traders?
Volodymyr Nosov: Absolutely. It reminds me of how Esports started. I remember 15 years ago, sitting in a computer laboratory with friends playing counterattache. At the time, our families told us that it was a waste of time. Today, Esports is a billion dollars industry.

We try to build the same type of infrastructure for trading. Imagine that you are a 25 -year -old man sitting on your computer all day studying the tables, and your parents don't understand what you are doing. Now, suddenly, you are in competition on an international scene. This changes the story. This event legitimizes trade as a serious discipline, not just a hobby.
Interviewer: It is therefore not only a trading – it is a question of raising all the culture that surrounds it.
Volodymyr Nosov: Exactly. These are more than simple markets. It is friendship, community and access. Merchants can meet, exchange ideas and draw inspiration from others at the top of their game. We build an ecosystem that goes far beyond the figures on a screen.

A conversation with Whitebit's CMO, the origins of the ICTC 2025, and an overview of his future
In a different conversation with several Crypto media, notably Cripto Noticias, Crypto Insiders and Bitcoinist, Whitebit's CMO, Alex Kozenko,, Talked about the idea that gave shape to the ICTC 2025, and how the team behind the event was able to succeed, to sort many challenges.
Alex Kozenko: (…) It was a very complex project. We tried to combine everything we learned as a team and do something that had never been done before: the first world Horsline crypto trading tournament. I told my team, if we want to do something, it must be extraordinary– A real “first moment”.

Interviewer: So someone, even a beginner or a fan, could compete with the best traders?
Alex Kozenko: Exactly. It was the magic of this one. This is the first event where anyone could test their skills in real time, against experienced professionals. In traditional esports, you cannot just introduce yourself and play with the pros. But in our tournament, everyone starts at the same time, on the same data flow – it's a playground.
Interviewer: This makes him more interactive and immersive than watching a match.
Alex Kozenko: Yes! Imagine if you are a fan of FC Barcelona, and instead of watching El Clásico, you might play in her. It's emotional hook. Here, trading fans are not only looking at – they participate. They are tested against the best.
Interviewer: And how was the community and influencers' response?
Alex Kozenko: It was mixed at the beginning. When we holded out, perhaps 80 to 85% did not respond. Some have not understood the concept. Others were skeptical. But those who did Surgee said to us, “It's the dream. This is what we expected. “
We were completely transparent – no hidden stuff, no false figures. Some participants even said to us: “If I don't win this thing, my subscribers will not buy my course!” He added pressure, but also made it more real. The merchants had the chance to present their skills, their strategy and their live style on stage. It is a dream scenario for them.
Interviewer: It is a daring way to transform trade into spectator sport.
Alex Kozenko: It is. We have designed this as a professional showcase – a place where traders can demonstrate their ideas, decision -making, assault, experience. It is a question of showing the world that trading is more than figures – it is a job.
Interviewer: Was it a project that is difficult to execute?
Alex Kozenko: Extremely. Each week, we had meetings with 40 to 50 members of the team. All – from partnerships to the design of the scene – was carefully planned. A funny example: we had to coordinate the approval of the LED with the Liga for part of the distribution. It normally takes two weeks; We had 12 days.
Our place of origin did not have enough electricity to supply all the equipment. We had to move the entire event to a new location and completely recalibrate everything. But it was worth it. I told my team, “We are launching a rocket here.” And in a way, we did it.
Interviewer: What was the most difficult part for you personally?
Alex Kozenko: The people. Energy management and motivation of the team was more difficult than anything else. We had to push the event from February to May, and this delay was difficult. But now, seeing 99% of the idea executed exactly how I imagined it – it is the most rewarding feeling. Even in some regions, this has exceeded my expectations.
I am proud of what we have achieved. This event is more than marketing – it is a movement. And if not just the start, I can't wait to show you what we do next.
