Bitcoin (BTC) and Overall Crypto Market Cap Jump as US President Donald Trump Rolls Out Post-Tariffs UK Trade Deal
U.S. President Donald Trump has just announced the first trade deal between the US and the United Kingdom since he imposed higher tariffs on imports in April trembling in global markets.
In a post on the social media platform reality Social, Trump Says The deal will increase $ 6 billion in external income from 10% tariffs.
The President said the agreement would also open $ 5 billion on export opportunities for farmers, ranchers, and manufacturers and strengthen national security for both the US and UK by creating an aluminum and steel trading zone and a pharmaceutical supply chain.
“Today is an incredible day for America as we deliver our first fair, open, and reward to deal with trade – something our previous presidents have not cared for. With our strong ally, the United Kingdom, we have reached the first, historical trade deal since the day of release.”
The price of bitcoin (BTC) jumps after the announcement. The flagship of cryptocurrency now trades $ 102,644.00, up to 5.86% in the last 24 hours.
The wider digital asset market also responds positively to the news. According to Data From the Coingecko's aggregator aggregator, the global cryptocurrency market cap is now $ 3.32 trillion, up to 5.54% in the last 24 hours and 35.16% from a year ago.
