Google-backed Lagos-based Plato Health Secures $1.4M Funding to Scale Its AI-Driven Platform

Platos Health, a startup based tech startup startup re-determining care care, raised $ 1.4 million in pre-seed funding to measure its metabolic health platform platform, Platos Monitor.

The funding is headed by Google for startups, with participation from International and Angel Investor from Google, Tesla, and Unicredit. The fund will support the Platos Body Monitor's control, a medical grade device that is now launched in Nigeria.

Each year, millions of people develop preventable conditions such as diabetes and heart disease often due to invisible risks such as excess visceral fat. In low access to regions, 86% of premature deaths from such diseases are prevented. In a country like Nigeria with fewer than 500 cardiologists for more than 200 million people, Platos Health fills the access to accessible, prompt health care by offering metabolic monitoring and personalized AI-activated health recommendations.

Platos combines ubiquitous medical devices, AI-powered software, and innovative access ideas to deliver improved metabolic health results at a lower cost.

Established in 2020 by Joseph Fakayode, Platos Health helps people control their health from the comfort of their homes. In a bid to enhance its offerings, in December 2024, the company launched Platos Intelligence, an AI engine that changes raw health data in personal action views.
