Saaniya Chugh, Senior Technical Consultant: On Writing and Inspirations

So let's start! Tell us a bit about you. For example, the name, profession and personal interests.
Hello hello to my pirate colleagues and my wonderful set of readers here,
Namaste! 🙏
I am Saaniya Chugh – A principal technical consultant at ServiceNow, community manufacturer, speaker and passionate writer focused on the intersection of IAT, ITSM and business transformation. Apart from the world of technology, I am a curious soul that finds the joy of mentoring others, participating in club management, managing community meetings and sometimes daring with personal development hacks.
Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon story has been?
My last high -level story plunged the first in the sparkling but more serious belly of the AI Art Revolution. Remember this Ghibli viral trend which had your flow resembling a Wonderland of fanciful anime last month? Well, behind the dreaming portraits is a not so dramatic reality – millions of users may have given their facial data to IA platforms without knowing it. What seemed to be an innocent pleasure was also a silent data entry, raising real questions about digital consent, biometric security and the blurred line between creativity and compromise. It is not only a question of the art that we make – it is the private life that we exchange in return. We have explored the disturbing truth behind the AI revolution, focusing on how millions of users have unconsciously contributed their facial recognition data to AI platforms.
Do you usually write about similar subjects? If not, what are you usually writing?
Oh, absolutely – I live and breathe the management of services, with a not so secret love story with ServiceNow. Recently, I deeply plunged into the way artificial intelligence reshapes the ITSM workflows – predictive ideas for the autonomy of the AI agent. But from time to time, I move away from the beaten track to explore large -scale stuff: digital transformation trips, productivity mentalities and helping others cut their own career path in technology. Consider it as a technological strategy in equal parts and a human narration.
Great! What does your usual writing routine look like (if you have one?)
It's a bit of beautiful chaos. I write in gusts, generally during the hours of gold in the early morning or the calm of the end of the evening, when the world is silent and my brain does not juggle with five different tabs. Inspiration tends to strike just after my first cup of coffee or good training. This is when ideas are starting to flow. I quickly scribble them in my Apple Journal (bless the gods of synchronization), then I plunge into concentrated writing sprints where real magic occurs.
Being a technology writer can be a challenge. It is not often our main role, but an addition to another. What is the biggest challenge you have in writing?
Time is indeed the greatest challenge when it comes to writing. Between consecutive customer sessions, strategic planning and help In fact Writing resembles luxury. And even when I do it, the real tightrope simplifies complex technical subjects without watering them. It is a constant dance – translate the depth into clarity while keeping the goodness geek intact.
What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?
Currently, I am deeply in the trenches that write a practical book without flow to help industry managers to adopt AI to overeat their IT services management strategies – intelligently, permanently and for a purpose. At the same time, I build the Community of Délée ServiceNow here in Montreal (come and say hello if you are there!). In the long term? I have views of advisory advice roles in ITSM forums – I want to be a catalyst for a significant change in the way business technology is evolving and empowered.
Wow is admirable. Now, something more relaxed: what is your pleasure guilty of choice?
Oh, hands down – give me a bold cold infusion and a queue at Netflix open, and I'm in my happy place. There is something strangely therapeutic to fuel the technological strategy per day and to look at the well-being sitcoms of the night. Zero regrets.
When you live and breathe technology all day, your autheures better come with zero screen time 😄
For me, the gymnasium is my essential sanctuary. I cannot deny that I took a winter break after moving to Montreal (blaming the snow!), But now that spring is here, I am washing again. Beyond fitness, I am in minimalist journalization and creative writing because it is my way of slowing chaos. And when I do not type or do not lift myself, you will probably find me experiment in the kitchen with South Asian fusion recipes, generally by doing so, but hey, the results are tasty most often!
I work on a piece that highlights the unknown hero of modern companies – management of IT services. As today's technological batteries become more tangled and chaotic, ITSM has quietly evolved in the backbone that keeps while running, secure and healthy. This story plunges into the reason why ITSM has more than ever, not only as a support function, but as a strategic power which silently protects the digital fort while innovation rushes.
What is your opinion on Hackernoon as a platform for writers?
Hackennoon has this rare charm. It is both a playground for technological storytellers and a serious center for deep and significant content. I am still quite new here, but what has stood out instantly is the freedom it gives to writers to dig into technical weeds and to become a little creative with.
The editorial team? Super favorable.
The community? Net and engaging.
And the publication experience? Smooth and truly enriching.
What more could you ask for?
Thank you for taking the time to join our series “Meet the Writer”. It was a pleasure. Do you have closing words? THANKS!
