StepN Joins Argentina’s AFA To Launch NFT Sneakers

Stepn, a well-known mobile mobile application, has cooperated with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to launch non-adjusted sneakers supported by the token in honor of the legendary football team. Stepn dives deeper into the NFT sneaker market despite market rivals such as Nike who came out of the market, noting that the market has become unprofitable. STEPN X AFA NFT CONCLUSION

On May 5, 2025, reports confirmed that the mobile stepn mobile application signed a long-term cooperation with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to issue NFT Digital Sneakers in respect of the legendary football team. Over the next two years, the Social Lifestyle app and AFA will work together to pay tribute to fans with prizes and lottery, as the association expands the web3.

Launched in March 2022, STEPN is a mobile (M2E) game-developed application of the Solana Blockchain network that will reward users for physical movements, such as walking, jogging, or running out. Users can earn cryptocurrency by providing themselves to NFT sneakers and engaging in these activities. To participate, NFT users must buy NFT sneakers made for walking, jogging, running, or training.

On the other hand, the Argentine Football Association (AFA), officially known as Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, is the body's body for football in Argentina. It is a member of FIFA and Conmebol, the world and South American football that manages the bodies, respectively. AFA oversees all aspects of the sport in Argentina, including professional leagues, national teams, and youth development.

STEPN AND AFA NFT COLLECTION

Under the new integration, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and STEPN are expected to join the hands to issue new Genesis NFT Digital sneakers, which will open real rewards for NFT and Soccer fans, including autographed jerseys and match tickets. While commenting on the new marriage, Mr. Leandro Petersen, the AFA's commercial and marketing director, said:

“AFA's travel to Web3 continues to grow and thanks to STEPN experience, AFA reaches millions of users in the web3 space with the aim of combining the desire and efficiency that our team indicates with the next generation of Argentina team fans”.

However, this is not the first time for STEPN to issue NFT digital sneakers. In 2021, the Social Lifestyle app launched its own collection of Genesis NFT in collaboration with Adidas, an iconic brand that designed and made sports shoes, clothing, and accessories. Stepn and Adidas NFT collections featured a limited edition of 1,000 digital sneakers, which sold at a price of 10,000 GMT per entry, with a refund for those who did not win.
