Paypal says SEC stops investigating Pyusd Stablein without enforcement measures

The US Securities and Exchange Committee (SEC) will terminate the investigation of the dollar collected by the Giant PayPal PayPal.

In August 2023, Paypal introduced PayPal's USD (PYUSD) Stablecoin to take advantage of the potential of web3 payments.

The property is supported by US dollar deposits, the US short -term treasury and similar cash equivalents.

By November, Paypal issued a statement stating that the securities regulator investigated Pyus and had asset -related documents. The company also expressed concern about the stablekoin regulatory uncertainty.

Nearly two years after the summons, Paypal states that the security guard of the securities will no longer continue to investigate. A Form 10-Q SEC was submitted on April 29, according to Paypal, the regulator does not take the legal proceedings.

“In November 2023, we received a summons related to the PayPal USD Stablecoin from the US SEC Execution Department. The summons requested the preparation of documents. In February 2025, SEC announced that it stopped this investigation without enforcement measures.”

Development comes in the middle of the announcements that Paypal plans to offer Pyusd users prizes to promote stable introduction.
