Warming, through writing Hakarnon

For about two years I start my day with the morning leaves. And I wanted to share big things in this ritual so badly. We apologize for so long.
This article is about the power of warming. Warming through writing. Or about the power of the conversation before the conversation. We need it because we will continue to overlook from that moment. We move on if we do not punish ourselves, claiming it is a waste of time.
Let me start with how I sometimes start them, first. And then let's wonder about it – what I call “to warm up communicative experiences”.
Such morning leaves
These are morning leaves.
Well, and here we are again.
Working, writing, moving forward, isn't it?
I write here, one paragraph, two paragraphs.
And I know, I write in a way that some may think it is arbitrary.
Well, I don't know how much I should worry about it.
Today I know this stream is working. That this current is better.
Well, it can be morning going, it can be warming.
Here I am, I warm up.
I have seen such writing through these morning pages. So this is me, I'll protect. It is now protected by arbitrary warming. Not protesting as I did before.
So I did so long, deciding in real time when it's time to do it. Like writing. But hey – now let's defend – we meet our friends and then we'll talk this bench, isn't it? We pass the ball, warm up. And with my colleagues, we throw things in the air, isn't it? One raises, the other hits, the goal. Yes, a high way, we do it. And we laugh too, maybe. And we, too, were suddenly awake. Spark. We have warmed up, it happens. So we know about it – the thing that generally lost – this warm -up ritual that comes earlier:
Shit happens
But of course, my goal is not to miss what life has given us, warned us: If we continue dancing, forever there, wasting ourselves. True, we have learned – a difficult path – that endlessly staying there leads to “shit hit the fan”. Maybe because we have been hurt, we came up with the idea not to be honored – this moment of warm -up.
Warming of communicative experiences
Pause briefly in the morning and exchange for the Council of Directors. Glenn, a Redfin, reminds us of how the CEO is moving too quickly with important people – like board members. His story, building your desk with Glenn Kelman, CEO of Redfin, is enlightened in many ways. Here is what he did before – before warming up:
I just called them with the most weird and difficult questions – by chance -. And say what do you think? And then they would look at me: What are you doing?
Glen's slowing down and reminding ourselves is a lot of talk that we already know how to do better. We've seen this game:
Have you ever seen a football player in the middle of the game? Everyone else has warmed up. But they just give him a ball, like three times in a row. They just hit it for him, he hits it back, hit him, he beats it back. And they just try to take him to the game.
This is Glenn Kelman who admits what comes before true communication:
So now that I bring to the executive, I actually say [talk with] They. Now I say: When we get to the topic, the first person I ask, you are, and that is the question I ask.
And he will finish:
And I know we don't want too much production at the board meeting, but I've just found that this person can focus better and deal with the real topic if the first touch of the ball has been successful. So this is a kind of first business.
The place of the dissonance that impressed anyone in front of us is now easy to see. From afar. But not when we take the steering wheel. It is even ridiculous, from the stands. Mr. Khan Khan Academy talks about a strange moment when he met Bill Gates:
“We met .. and it was just one of those surreal times in your life, where 20% of your brain is trying to talk about it and the other 80% says – it's Bill Gates, it's Bill Gates! And you just try to handle it.” (Kleiner Perkins, 2014, 19:32)
Thank you Glenn for reminding us that we were people for consciously supporting us with our conversations. And thank you, Sal, for capturing that moment.
See you tomorrow – morning pages, essays and meetings
So I'm saying now from my morning pages:
That's okay.
This conversation is okay, this ritual warming.
Its essay version? Same, that's okay. For me, it solved the situation when I was pressured or impressed, the first paragraph. Waiting for or checking it. Empty page, sad place.
That's why I say back to the morning leaves, I thank you, Julia Cameron. Julia
I have later seen it works quite well; After I let this first paragraph be captured. After heating the cuts, I will not stay on them now. I am a witness that they are born:
Oh my dear first paragraph, there you are, my friend. Oh, I see you here, paragraph 9?
This is how I do this for this: it works for a new player for the day, who enters this continued football game, at the board meeting for the CEO. It works throughout life.
And I know we are all worried about this second thing – wasting time, our ability to dance, endlessly. We are afraid of meetings. And precisely and that is why we should embrace this idea. If we don't see, we don't know. Less is more.
