Ledger scammers are sending letters to steal seed phrases

Scammers send physical letters to those who have Ledger Crypto hardware wallets asking them to prove their private seed phrases in a bid to access the wallets to clean them.

In a post of April 29 x, tech commentator Jacob Canfield shared A scam letter sent to his home by post appearing from the Ledger saying he needed to immediately conduct “critical security updates” on his device.

The letter, which uses the Ledger logo, business address, and a reference number to develop legitimacy, has asked to scan a QR code and enter the private recovery phrase of the wallet under the device validation of the device validation.
